What is so great about these? The pistons are made of 304 stainless steel, centerless ground to size, and then briefly electopolished. This surface treatment passivates the piston surface and removes burrs.
What is the zerk fitting for? If your air compressor is too weenie to blow out the pistons, or if your air compressor does not exist, you're in a fix. It all depends on how long the bike sat, and whether there was water in the brake fluid all that time. The zerk goes in place of the banjo fitting bolt, so you can use an ordinary grease gun to put thousands of pounds behind those pistons. Those pistons will come out. It'll cost you a couple ounces of grease.
