Upgrade from V.1. wire brackets to V.2. formed sheet steel brackets. The geometry of the new brackets is the same as the old brackets, so this is an easy replacement.
Two of the brackets use a metal spacer; they "step up" to hold their plugs. The other two brackets step down from the intake manifolds.
The formed steel brackets are "process chrome plated" (barrel plated) like the original Honda bracket. One of the pictures shows a comparison. The bracket finish looks fine from a couple feet away, but is not so fine under a microscope. This kind of chrome plating is very tough.
The new brackets come with redesigned pads and the same old shims. Each white Teflon bracket pad can be adjusted for pressure on the plug, by inserting a shim. Most bikes will not need these shims, but who knows, maybe yours does.
Most people will not need to hire a mechanic to install these brackets.
The Interstate model will require you to remove the pods to deal with 2 of these brackets.
